Apple has not disclosed the full information about its upcoming Apple Watch 8 during the WWDC 2022. However, reports suggest that this next-gen smartwatch will come this fall with another highly-requested feature from the fans: the body temperature sensor.
If you have concerns with your temperature because you possibly have a fever, then this nice addition will be a huge help for simple monitoring.
Apple Watch 8 Will Have Temperature Sensor
Previously, reputable tech leaker Ming-Chi Kuo made a bold prediction that the upcoming Apple Watch will sport a temperature sensor. It turns out that this possibility is next to reality.
According to Mashable, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman notes that Cupertino is now preparing to release Apple Watch 8 in the next few months.
Speaking of the body temperature sensor, Gurman says that this feature will give you a warning if you have a potential fever. However, this won't yield a temperature reading like the usual temperature reader.
Aside from knowing if a person has a fever, the temperature sensor will reportedly have a companion feature that will help someone deal with fertility planning.
It should be noted that this will be more expensive compared to its predecessors. Apparently, it appears that Apple will retain the same chip that it uses on Apple Watch 6 and 7.
Most importantly, we expect that it will get a new "rugged" design. The body temperature sensor will be available for this model, as well.
Somehow, this sensor feature is quite similar to the blood oxygen sensor. No readings will be given but only warnings if there's a problem with your oxygen level.

Apple Watch is on the Verge of Being Banned
It's interesting to know that the small health features of a smartwatch can make a huge difference in the lives of users. However, it's not always for Apple since it's still struggling with legal difficulties with ECG.
In a recent report from Tech Times, the International Trade Commission (ITC) has favored AliveCor, one of the leading companies in ECG technology, over the Cupertino firm.
In late 2020, AliveCor claimed that the iPhone maker had copied its own technology. At the time, the company believed that Apple did that because it saw them as a rival in the market.
Moreso, AliveCor sued Apple because of patent infringement regarding its KardiaBand accessory.
Make Tech Easier reports that the lawsuit will continue given that AliveCor has enough evidence to share with the court, as US District Judge Jeffrey White previously stated.
The conclusion of the decision will take place on Oct. 26. If it is proven that Apple violates ECG infringement with its Apple Watch, the said wearables won't be imported anymore into the country.
At this point, if that happens, there's a possibility that we could not see the Apple Watch 8. There's a chance that its supplies will be affected given this circumstance.
Meanwhile, AirPods 2 Pro won't be coming with heart rate and body temperature sensors.
