Nothing Phone is set to launch globally on July 12, and days before its official release, several leaks and rumors have been circulating online about its design, specs, and price.
While Nothing has given people a sneak peek of the device and shared some of its key features, the company has not released any other detail since.
However, on Thursday, June 30, a new set of leaks and teasers about the Nothing Phone 1's specifications and price were revealed.
Nothing Phone 1's Specs
According to XDA Developers, Nothing's CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that the Nothing Phone 1 will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G Plus chip and not the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
Pei told Input in an interview that Nothing opted for the Snapdragon 778G Plus as the company believes it is more suitable "than thermals and power savings from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, 8+ Gen 1, and 7 Gen 1.

Also, leaker Abhishek Yadav revealed that the Nothing Phone 1 will have a 6.55-inch OLED display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate support. A 50MP dual rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and Gorilla Glass protection both on the front and back.
The phone will also be equipped with 4K 60/FPS video recording capabilities. Nothing Phone 1 will run Nothing OS based on Android 12, including no bloatware and bespoke widgets.
Nothing Phone 1 Price
As for the price, Android Authority reported that premature Amazon UK listings of the Nothing Phone 1 shows its supposed launch price.
The listings reveal that the base 8GB + 12GB variant of the Nothing Phone 1 will cost you around $490, while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models will cost you around $521 and $572, respectively.
The Nothing Phone 1 will go on sale after its launch on July 12. The device will only be available through invitation at launch, and pre-order passes for the device are already live in some UK regions.
Nothing Phone 1 Will Not Be Available in the US
In a statement sent to PCMag, Nothing confirmed that the Nothing Phone 1 would not be available in the United States.
No North American carrier was on the supported list that was seen back on June 22 when 100 limited edition units of Nothing were put up for auction.
The company stated that they want to launch the phone worldwide, but for now, they are focusing on home markets, including the UK and Europe, where they have strong partnerships with leading local carriers.
Nothing added that launching a smartphone worldwide takes a lot of preparation, from ensuring the handset is supported by the country's cellular technologies to carrier partnerships and local regulation. As the company is still pretty new in the market, they need to lay out a solid strategy first.
Verizon does not allow smartphones on its network that are not on its whitelist. Also, AT&T enables VoLTE only for selected smartphones.
Without VoLTE on your phone, you won't be able to make a call because AT&T shut down its 3G network back in February.
Meanwhile, T-Mobile is more open to other brands, but it does not use all of the same bands as European carriers, so the coverage may be affected.
Nothing does have any plans to launch a smartphone in the United States in the future, but it will need to get a least one major carrier on board first.
