A year after OnePlus skipped the release of its flagship successor, the tech company is finally bringing back its "T" phones.
In 2022, OnePlus is scheduled to release 10T, and tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as @OnLeaks, has leaked the phone's design.
OnePlus to Launch 10T
According to Phone Arena, the photos that @OnLeaks posted are based on the live photos of the pre-production OnePlus 10T model, so there is still a possibility of a final version released in late 2022 will look mostly, if not exactly, the same.
The 10T features a glass back combined with a plastic frame, suggesting that the phone may be more affordable compared to the typical high-end smartphone.
The specs are also said to include a 6.7-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz adaptive screen refresh rate, all thanks to the LTPO technology.
Under the hood, the 10T is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor chip that can carry up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, according to Trusted Reviews.
The OnePlus smartphone is also expected to have three cameras on the back: a 50MP main shooter, a 16MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro sensor.
However, the telephoto lens seems to be absent, which will affect the zoomed-in shots and portrait photos, and may also contribute to the phone's low price point.
The OnePlus 10T will be equipped with 4,800mAh battery and with support for 150W fast charging, the fastest on a smartphone so far.
With this new model, OnePlus is focusing on its strengths, like the fast charging tech, the fast performance, and a price range that is expected to undercut the competition. It will also come with signature features like an alert slider or mute switch.
How Much Will OnePlus 10T Cost?
According to Android Authority, the upcoming OnePlus 10T will be priced between $470 and $600 in China. It will cost a bit more when it gets shipped internationally because of taxes and duties.
However, the OnePlus 10T will be more affordable compared to the recent OnePlus flagships.
OnePlus Nord Buds
OnePlus' announcement regarding its 10T phone came after the company released its very first audio product in the Nord series called Nord Buds.
Nord Buds are the cheapest wireless earbuds to date as it only costs $39. According to GSMArena, the buds are marketed toward consumers who are on a tight budget.
With the Nord Buds, the company has stripped things down to the basics as it has no active noise-cancellation, fancy codes, wireless charging, and in-ear detection.
However, you can get some features like fast charging, four microphones with AI noise reduction for calls, and it has an IP55 rating.
The buds are supported on OnePlus phones. The phones will automatically pop up a pairing dialog when you open the case near them, which is similar to the AirPods.
The Bluetooth settings house more customization options for the buds, even though the menu is buried far too deep and not intuitive to locate, just like the AirPods.
