Chrome iOS to Roll Out New Features for iPhone and iPad

On Friday, June 24, Google announced some good news: the upgraded Chrome browser for iOS and the new features will be added to iPhones and iPads in the next few days.

Google Chrome, the most popular mobile browser in the world, will have five new features available for Apple users.

Google Updates Chrome for iOS

According to ZDNET, Chrome has introduced a password manager for iOS called Google Password Manager.

This feature automatically fills up the payment and shipping information of iOS users, so you're always ready to check out when you order or pay for something online.

If you wish to activate the Chrome password manager on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings and select Passwords. Click on "Set up on-device encryption."

Your device will automatically save your personal information and payment information, so the next time you order something online, you won't have to fill up the form while checking out, as Gizmodo reported.

iPhone and iPad users can also sync their favorite tabs and bookmarks across the devices.

The Chrome password manager for iOS is similar to Apple's iCloud Keychain password manager, allowing users to sign in to most apps and websites using their Apple ID.

New Features on Chrome for iPhone Users

Aside from the Chrome Password Manager, BGR reported that there would be other features added. One of them is the ability to access Enhanced Safety Browsing.

This protects users from malware and phishing scams. If an iPhone or the iPad user turns on the Enhanced Safety Browsing feature, Google Chrome will predict and warn them if they visit a dangerous website.

Google Chrome will also notify users if their login credentials have been compromised, and it will encourage them to change their usernames and passwords immediately.

iPhone and iPad users will also be able to discover new content a lot easier and start a new search in Chrome for iOS if you want to.

The recent tabs can be accessed easily too, and browsing content will be faster than ever. Switching from a new search tab to the frequently visited websites will be made possible, so you won't have to type in new searches every time you go on the web. This feature will soon be added to Android phones.

Google will also be using an on-device machine learning to make every single website available in any language.

The search giant will launch an updated language identification model to figure out which language you are more comfortable with and what language you use when searching online.

You can also have a page translated to any language that you prefer.

Another upcoming feature is Chrome Actions. It will help you get more things done faster from the Chrome address bar. You will be able to save time by simply typing an action title into the address bar.

The Chrome address bar can also predict when you could benefit from the Chrome Action feature based on words that have been typed.

It also makes common activities easier, like clearing the browsing data, opening the incognito tab, and setting Chrome as the default browser.
