'Scarface The World Is Yours' Sequel was Canceled

According to an article by Coming Soon, "Scarface: The World Is Yours" was previously launched in 2006 as an adaptation of the popular 1983 gangster game. The game was first released on PlayStation 2, PC, and Xbox.

The game was created by Radical Entertainment, and it had a lot of similarities to other popular games like "Grand Theft Auto III" and "Mafia." The game was supposed to have a sequel, but it was canceled.

Leaked Footage of the Canceled Game was Uploaded to YouTube

Years after, new footage has popped up on YouTube showing what the game could have been like. The video was titled "Scarface 2 Gameplay Footage (2008) | Cancelled Game" and was uploaded by the Mafia Game Videos channel.

As per the video, the game was canceled when the studio behind it, Radical Entertainment, was acquired by Activision. The game was supposed to follow Tony Montana as he was forced out of Miami due to its crackdown on illegal substances.

Tony Montana Moved to Las Vegas to Expand His Empire

According to the story by Comic Book, although the game followed the movie, they decided to change the ending wherein Tony didn't die during the onslaught, which allowed him to continue living and reclaiming his empire.

After being forced out, Tony Montana was supposed to move to Las Vegas and build his very own casino in an attempt to take on Sin City. The leaked footage of the game showed it in its pre-alpha phase resulting in pretty rough gameplay since it was supposedly still in the early stages of development.

Other Popular Gangster Games Include 'Grand Theft Auto' by Rockstar Games

As per the article, there have actually been multiple Mafia or gangster games that have been canceled over the years, and they would have wanted to see how Tony Montana could continue its legacy.

As of press time, one of the most popular games remaining in the gangster crime genre is "Grand Theft Auto," which, although hasn't been releasing new games, still holds a lot of sentiment from gamers invested in that genre.
