Apple Music Student plan price suddenly increased in giant territories, such as the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), and Canada.
The latest price update of the Apple Music plan for students shortly comes after its subscription fee increased in other countries, including Singapore, South Africa, Australia, India, Indonesia, Israel, New Zealand, Kenya, and the Philippines.
Apple now appears to have expanded the price increase to more nations without any announcements.
Apple Music Student Plan
The Student plan of Apple Music enables younger users to enjoy the full-blown music streaming service for a much lower subscription price.
As per a news story by Mac Rumors, the iPhone maker provides students a price cut for Apple Music rather than paying the standard plan, which costs $9.99 per month.
It gives students a chance to also listen to the music library of Apple Music without emptying their wallets.
Apple Music Student Plan Price Increase: US, UK, Canada
But this time, students in the US, UK, and Canada face a higher monthly fee. Well, it is still lower than the standard pricing of $9.99, yet it got a bit more expensive than the previous Student plan cost.
According to a recent report by 9to5 Mac, the music service of Apple went on to quietly update its monthly prices for its Student plan, as seen on its official website.
App developer Michael Burkhardt discovered the price increase of Apple Music Student in the US.
9to5 Mac notes in its report that the new pricing of Apple Music for students has increased by a dollar. The service now charges $5.99 per month, up from its previous cost of $4.99.
Apart from the price increase in the US, it turns out that Apple Music also updated its student plan in the UK. It now costs 4.99 Euros monthly, increasing from the previous 4.99 Euros fee.
The website of Apple shows that the price changes apply to Canada.

How About Other Apple Music Plans?
However, as per Apple Insider, other Apple Music plans besides its Student offering settle with the same pricing.
The Family option continues to retail for $14.99, whereas the Apple Music Voice Plan still sells for $4.99. Meanwhile, the Standard plans still charges $9.99 per month.
That said, the price increase is oddly exclusively to the Apple Music Student plan. The Cupertino-based tech giant has yet to explain to reason behind this.
