Elon Musk Calls DISH’s 5G ‘Super Shady and Unethical,’ Affects Areas with Less Coverage

Elon Musk is not holding back on this new issue that Starlink faces, and it is with DISH Network's 5G aims to bring a significant 12 GHz coverage to users that would affect its services. DISH's 5G service seeks to bring massive internet features for the public to use, and it would be a cellular service that will offer the latest connection with fast speeds.

Musk is speaking up against DISH Network, a direct attack against the company, with his latest tweet that discussed its effects on the satellite internet service he owns. Allegedly, DISH is doing a "bait and switch" tactic against Starlink to engage people into focusing on the 5G cellular connection with 12 GHz speeds.

The top billionaire went as far as calling this tactic "super shady" and "unethical," as it means to overthrow the satellite internet connections with the cellular spectrum. Musk said that if DISH successfully gets the service up and running, it will hurt those who have less reach to the terrestrial connections, as it will interfere with its services.

DISH vs. Starlink: What is Happening?

According to CNBC and Michael Sheetz, there is an ongoing dispute between DISH and Starlink regarding the new 5G internet service the former company is offering. SpaceX already talked to the Federal Communications Commission regarding this, and the company aims to investigate more about this matter, as it is an "existential threat" to Starlink.

Starlink's Satellite Internet

The Starlink internet service that borders on satellites to bring its powers and connections to the public is already up and running, and many people are enjoying its features. It has comprehensive coverage worldwide, and even countries outside the United States are seeing a way to connect to its offshore internet features that they may use for their needs.

What Starlink promises is high-speed internet for all, and it recently brought another offer that it has boasted of for a long time now. It is its portability feature that is available anywhere, even in transit. RVs or recreational vans, or even regular vehicles, may get the Starlink feature through a satellite receiver and a device that will bring the connection for all.

Elon Musk highly talks about Starlink because it is one of the most promising internet features in the world, bringing everyone a chance to connect to satellites for better services.

The tech CEO is not taking this lightly, as his rivals are still those that offer better internet connections on the surface, particularly those that will affect the services of his satellite features. Musk said that it is unethical and shady, and it seems that a fight is coming to DISH Network for its 5G that will interfere with Starlink's offers.
