Spinarak is spider-like Pokemon that is one of the most sought-after due to its moveset and creative look. Here is how to get it in Pokemon Go.
Getting a Shiny Spinarak
If you are looking to get a shiny Spinarak, then you will need to do it similar to how you do to acquire a shiny Pokemon. However, there is a small chance that it will be shiny and the only thing to tell is if its skin is blue instead of the standard green color of the normal Spinarak.
Once you see a blue Spinarak, catch it and it will be yours to evolve into Ariados.
The good news is that it will be part of the Spotlight Hour Event in Pokemon Go, which means you can try to catch it between 6 pm and 7 pm in your local time today. Doing so will give you a higher chance to get a shiny Spinarak for yourself.
However, shiny rates don't seem to be boosted during Spotlight Hours based on the Pokemon community The Silph Road. However, the number of Pokemon that spawn during the hourlong weekly event will allow users to have a better chance of getting a random shiny. That said, the more Pokemon you click on, the higher chances you can catch a Shiny Pokemon.

Attracting a Shiny Pokemon
There's really nothing much you can do to catch a shiny Pokemon as it appears to be only a random chance. The catch rates for this type of Pokemon is set by Niantic and it is only boosted during special events, such as Safari Zones, Community Days, or Legendary Raids. You can't also get any consumable items that can help boost your chances of getting a shiny Pokemon.
Spotlight Hours
The Spotlight Hours happen every week, so if you missed today, don't worry! You still have next week. And who knows? You might finally be able to catch a shiny Spinarak. Or perhaps, other shiny Pokemons.
Spinarak Evolves Into Ariados
After capturing a Spinarak, you will be able to evolve it into Ariados. It can be a great way to complete your Pokedex, but the downside is that it will cost 50 Candy to evolve.
It can be a bit challenging to evolve Spinarak into Ariados due to the high Candy consumption. However, it is still possible to evolve without spending any Pokecoins or Candy.
If you want to evolve it into Ariados, skip the second stage of the evolution tree. Instead, hit Evolve, and it will also take you to the final stage of the evolution tree: Crobat.
Spinarak has a unique movepool and it can do a lot more damage than you would think. Its String Shot can slow down a Pokemon, which is good against fast attackers. Its Poison Sting is its signature move, which can also poison an enemy Pokemon. Its other move, Spider Web, immobilizes an enemy Pokemon by entangling them with a web.
However, Spinarak isn't very powerful on its own, so you will need to power it up before using it in battle. It also has a low CP, which means that it can't take a lot of hits.
