The automaker's most-awaited human-like AI-based machine was first introduced back in 2021. Although not much was known about the robot before, many consumers are really intrigued by the innovation of Tesla.

Now, it seems like there will be an actual working Tesla Optimus prototype before 2022 ends. Here's what Musk revealed during the recent Qatar Economic Forum.

Tesla Optimus Prototype's Unveiling

According to Teslarati's latest report, there's a very high chance that the most-awaited Tesla Optimus prototype will be unveiled on the upcoming AI Day 2 2022.

Elon Musk said that he and his Tesla team are working closely so that the humanoid robot's working version will be ready as early as September.

"And I think we are tracking to that point. And there'll be a few other exciting things that we talk about at the Tesla AI Day," said the billionaire.

He added that the new AI-based robot is a big deal for Tesla since it shows that the automaker can work on other bigger technologies.

Musk shared his belief that Tesla is the top real-world artificial intelligence company that really exists. As of writing, the giant electric vehicle manufacturer is expected to start producing the new humanoid machine by 2023.

If this happens, then Tesla can change the labor economy and play a massive role in the rising artificial intelligence industry.

Tesla Optimus' Features

Tesla's official website explained what consumers can expect from the upcoming Optimus humanoid robot. The EV maker said that it will be able to conduct repetitive activities safely.

This means that this new AI-based machine can actually work in manufacturing plants and other areas where people's lives can be at risk.
