Mysterious ‘Blue Blobs’ Present a New Star System; Data from Hubble, VLA, Chile Telescope

In space, many unexplained objects and sightings have caught researchers' and space telescopes' eyes but have no initial answers to what it is. This discovery would trigger a study that researchers may focus on, and use its data and information to find out what it is, with these mysterious "blue blobs" turning out to be a new kind of star system.

Mysterious 'Blue Blobs' in Space is a New Kind of Star System

The University of Arizona researchers discovered a new kind of star system under the guise of these mysterious "blue blobs" that are floating around in space. At first glance, they may look like regular lights flashing around, but their "blob"-like form presents a new look for the stars that the researchers wanted to unveil the truth behind it.

Its sizes are like those of tiny dwarf galaxies.

The team named the blue blobs SECCO 1, and University of Arizona Steward Observatory postdoctorate student and lead author of the study, Michael Jones, said that it is an accidental discovery. Its study was looking for other objects from the data it got but was able to find the blue blobs that are 300,000 light years away from their parent galaxies.

Hubble, VLA, Chile's Telescope Helped in Discovery

The team was able to obtain their findings and information through the use of NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, New Mexico's Very Large Array, and Chile's Very Large Telescope. The apparatus helped a lot in the study, and it aims to bring more information regarding it, opening up its possibilities to have a better understanding through research.

Star Systems in Space Now

There are many star systems in space now, and all of them have their distinction and formation that makes them what they are, with researchers categorizing them based on their characteristics. There was once a research in 2019 that discovered a unique star system that has a quadruple setup on its clusters, including a planet that has discs.

Star systems usually have a planet forming in them, with some research saying that there are binary star planets that may have more purpose than what is known. According to the study, it could be inhabited by humans, and it may serve as a new haven for the public that aims to venture to the other planets available nearby.

The researchers and astronomers that focus on investigating space usually see stars in their study, but while some brush them off as something common to see, others focus on their phenomena. There is an infinite number of possibilities lying in the massive space beyond, and researchers are able to bring information to the public regarding discoveries.
