Amazon has dipped into almost every digital niche out there with different services catering to different markets. Although the company acquired a digital comic service called Comixology, there have still been issues with the service, and the retail giant has announced that it will be fixing it.
Amazon to Fix Different Issues with Comixology
About four months after the company initially integrated Comixology into its other services, Amazon itself publicly acknowledged that the platform has had quite a lot of issues. As spotted by Gizmodo, a thread released by Amazon noted to the public that they understand the needed improvements saying they are already working to improve it as quickly as possible.
As per the Twitter thread, Comixology posted that they have been combing through user feedback and are grateful for the strong fanbase when it comes to comics. They noted that they understand the changes needed and are working on them as fast as possible.
Company is Already Focusing on Fixing 'Some of the More Prominent Issues'
Amazon promised that they would be addressing "some of the more prominent issues" that users have been experiencing ever since the digital comic service was integrated with the Kindle app.
An example of this is that the Comixology web-reading client beta version will be bringing back support for double-page spreads. The company also noted that it will be fixing the problem with its store algorithm that causes the software to pop up for novels and non-fiction books when users are looking for graphic novels, manga, and comics.
Amazon Noted that It Will be Releasing an Official Update Later On
The company said that they won't just be fixing the issues that users are experiencing but will also be enhancing them. These features, however, do not have a specified release date as of press time.
The company noted that they will give an official update later on regarding when the features are expected to launch. Amazon said that the feature will allow users to use the Kindle app in order to filter their comics.

What Happened with Comixology's Integration with Kindle
According to the story by Engadget, the way Amazon handled the digital comic service, Comixolgy, was described as frustrating. The company is still working on not just correcting certain features but also adding new ones within its service.
Unfortunately, Comixology won't be able to go back to its old software since Amazon officially shut it down just shortly after the Kindle integration was finished. To make things worse, the digital comic service is the only one that users can use in order to buy comic piecemeals from different publishers.
Amazon aims to not only address the issues that users are experiencing but also add new ones while enhancing the existing ones already being used.
