Instax is coming out with a new printer that allows users to print photos with Polaroid effects. The printer is called the Mini Link 2 and is expected to include Polaroid-like effects to help make photos pop to life.

The company is widely popular due to its Polaroid cameras and technology, and although most people are living in a digital age when photos are usually uploaded immediately to the internet, Instax has found its niche in nostalgia and in handy physical photos.
Instead of going completely digital, Instax has decided to come up with technology that helps users print out photos from their smartphone with the help of its new Mini Link 2 printer. According to the story by Neowin, the printer comes in three color options; blue, pink, and white.
Users can Apply Edits to the Photos on Their Smartphone
There is not much change when it comes to the style or the dimensions of the initial Mini Link printer. As per the article, the material is also the same, and it carries an option to "insert microUSBs only."
A video was uploaded to YouTube showing how the printer is capable of printing out Polaroid-like photos. As seen in the video, owners can apply edits to the photo to make the results fun and interesting.
Instax Describes Printer as 'Connecting the Real World with the Virtual'
As per its description, the new printer will be the "first Instax smartphone printer to connect the real world with the virtual in a beautifully simple yet super fun way." Connecting the real world with the virtual was showcased in the video, with users editing photos before having them printed.
Basically, this means that instead of printing photos directly, users will still be able to apply some fun edits on their phone before connecting it to the Instax Mini Link 2 printer and having the photos printed. The camera also includes an option for "Fun Mode," which allows landscape photography.
New Instax Printer can be Linked with the FUJIFILM X-S10
Users will be able to zoom on their phone screens in order to see the images and make adjustments through editing. The editing functions include frames, stickers, and even emojis, with an option for users to simply doodle over the photo.
The Instax Mini Link 2 is also not completely limited to just smartphones. As per the article, users can also link the printer directly to the FUJIFILM X-S10 as well.

Instax Mini Link 2 Price and Release Date
The printer by Instax is expected to make its way to the market really soon. The article notes that the Mini Link 2 is expected to launch on June 22 of this year, but it is already available for preorder.
The printer will reportedly launch in the UK at a price of around $140 USD.
