Samsung has launched a special app that is similar to Google Wallet. Samsung Wallet allows users to store their credentials, including passwords, payment cards, digital keys, and more.
The South Korean tech titan integrates this application to monitor your digital assets, including virtual coins and cryptos. More features are expected to roll out later in 2022.
Samsung Wallet
Apple Wallet is one of the most popular digital wallets that can store your IDs and passes. Samsung Wallet has the same set of functionalities, but still, it lacks other features that are already present on the previous wallet.
According to XDA Developers, Samsung's dedicated app has not yet introduced the support to store student IDs and driver's licenses. Sooner, we could see this functionality later.
As per the company's Head of Digital Life and MX Business Jeanie Han, the new Samsung Wallet will be the next-level app to bring convenience to all users who have mobile devices.
Samsung's EVP added that this application would provide a "totally safe and secure environment" for keeping your passwords, digital cards, and IDs, to name a few.
What to Store in Samsung Wallet
In a recent press release by Samsung, the following things can be stored in the Wallet app.
- Digital Keys
- Passwords
- Payment cards
- Loyalty and membership cards
- Monitor crypto portfolio through Blockchain Wallet
- Korean Air boarding passes
- Digital IDs (to arrive later in 2022)
As of writing, the Samsung Wallet app is only available in select markets around the world, including the US, the UK, France, Spain, Italy, and Germany, as per Gizmodo.

In other news, Spotify's CEO Daniel EK confirmed that they would downsize the new hiring for the staff by 25%. On Wednesday, June 15, the company founder emailed all of its employees regarding this announcement.
The reason why the firm arrived at this decision is because of the existing economic condition. Last year, Spotify had over 6,600 staff. The company recorded an 18% increase from 2020.
Although Spotify will reduce the new hiring, the services of the company will continue to roll out updates for its service. This year, there's so much to watch out for on this music streaming giant.
