The Boring Company, a subsidiary of Elon Musk's group of businesses, recently received its approval to expand the tunnel systems from underneath the city, focusing on the Vegas Loop. The City of Las Vegas approved the proposed expansion of the tunnel system that would further give its operations more areas to cover for the public's use.

The Boring Company announced on its Twitter page that the business had already got its approval from the city of Las Vegas to expand the Vegas Loop's existing tunnel system in the area. The 25-minute walk from the airport to the convention center only takes two minutes when the public boards a Tesla Model X or Y to and from its stations.

The expansion would cover more ground, albeit with more stations below the surface, which will help the transportation options in the area.

Of course, the Vegas Loop is open for the public to utilize, but it is unknown if The Boring Company or Elon Musk will ask for a fee once it becomes a commercially used method in Las Vegas.

The city of Las Vegas is Looking into Loop's Expansion

The Las Vegas Council unanimously approved the expansion proposal of The Boring Company (TBC) for its Vegas Loop, which aims to bring more stations and stops from underneath the city. The City of Las Vegas announced this venture via Twitter early today, and it will mark the start of TBC's extension of the tunnel system to nearby locations.

The Boring Company's Tunnels

Elon Musk will soon host his "Fallout" themed party on the Vegas Loop tunnel that signifies the CEO's dreams of a shelter underground, but it is soon to come as they observe restrictions and health measures. The Vegas Loop is now open for the public to use, and it would transport the people from the airport to the Vegas Convention Center in under two minutes.

The Boring Company's tunnels have many cities and counties it wishes to expand on, and one of them includes the home of Musk's SpaceX venture, Austin, Texas. The Texas project has to wait on its construction as it already aims to expand on the area, connecting people using a tunnel system filled with Tesla self-driving vehicles.

The "Tesla in a Tunnel" also eyes Miami, Florida, for its service expansion.

Vegas Loop already effectively brings an underground tunnel system that helps the public move from place to place and avoid the traffic on the surface. However, it is still short, and its expansion to Clark County, which would add 29 more miles to the tunnel system, is waiting on its construction.

The Loop got its approval from the city and will soon start its construction to bring more underground roads to cover.
