WhatsApp's data can now be transferred from Android to iPhone. At first, only Samsung smartphones could migrate user information from Android to iOS.
Now, new tech was released by Meta to ensure that the data transfer method works in Android-to-iPhone and iPhone-to-Android information migration.
"We're adding to WhatsApp the ability to securely switch between phones and transfer your chat history, photos, videos, and voice messages between Android and iPhone while maintaining end-to-end encryption," said Mark Zuckerberg via Android Authority.

Meta explained that WhatsApp's new feature still has limitations when it comes to transferring WhatsApp data. The tech giant firm clarified that this tech only works on factory reset and new iPhones.

This means you need to have the latest iOS system versions before taking advantage of the new data transfer function.
On the other hand, Android users are also required to update their devices to Android 5 and other newer mobile software versions.
Aside from these, Business Today reported that both Android and iOS devices must be connected to a power source before consumers can start migrating their WhatsApp data.

How To Transfer WhatsApp Data? Android To iPhone or Vice Versa
Transferring your WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone or vice versa is pretty simple to do. You can follow these steps:
- First, click the "Move to iOS" app on your Android device.
- After that, just follow the instructions provided by the application.
- Then, click the Continue option and choose the WhatsApp option, which will be provided on the Transfer Data screen.
- After that, click the Start button and wait for your WhatsApp data to be ready for export. Once you are done with that, you can now sign out from your Android.
