Twitch advertisement incentive program is expanding to more streamers on the platform, allowing these users to earn money while video streaming.
The gaming video streaming service Twitch also says that its new incentive program now pays more than ever.
Twitch appears to be improving its whole Ad Incentive Program, shortly known as AIP, to the benefit of its huge range of streamers.
Not only is the program welcoming more steamers, but Twitch touts their payout to also significantly increase.
Twitch Ad Program Expansion
As per a news story by DotEsports, the ad program of Twitch is opening its doors to more live streamers, giving more users a chance to make money while using the platform.
Twitch announced that it is expanding its AIP to more users, but its details were scant.
In the meantime, it remains to be seen how many additional streamers are getting a chance to enter the ad program.
The streaming service also did not say how it plans to expand the incentives program to more users. However, it states that it plans to create more income streams for its users. What's only clear is Twitch plans to add more streamers to its ad program.
Twitch's Higher Payout for Streamers
Apart from the incentive program expansion, the service plans to restructure it to give its partners higher income streams.
According to a recent report by The Verge, the all-new incentive program of Twitch pays its streamers pretty much more money than before.
The news outlet noted that the streaming service recently introduced a flat payout option, requiring creators to run a fixed number of ads at a fixed time.
But that is about to change. The vice president of monetization of Twitch, Mike Minton, admits that "a fixed CPM model wasn't the most straightforward way to share revenue with creators."
Given that, the streaming platform now introduces a new ad incentive model for its creators, which Minton touts to be easier to understand.
It is not only simpler to grasp, but the Twitch VP also bared that it provides a relatively more handsome payout for streamers.
The Twitch exec for monetization said that the all-new model "also increases ad payouts by paying creators 55 percent of the revenue for each ad that runs on their stream."
New Ad Program Rollout
The new ad program of Twitch rolls out to its streamers on June 15.
However, the additional 55 percent of the payout only begins in August. It also requires its streamers to run at least three minutes of ads for a single hour.
