Nintendo Switch Version 14.1.2 Update June 13 Release
Updates are often released to deal with game bugs but this time, version 14.1.2 includes not just firmware updates but also an additional word added to the bad words list. Nintendo intentionally misspells certain bad words by players.
The official Nintendo support page details the changes made to general system stability and overall user experience. The version 14.1.2 update was officially released on June 13.
Bad Word List Updated for All Languages
According to Nintendo Life, the new firmware update for the Switch "bumps the hybrid system to version 14.1.2." The article referenced a dataminer's findings on Twitter regarding the new changes implemented by Nintendo.
A Twitter account by the name of OatmealDome posted details regarding the most notable changes that the update brings. Aside from OS components, the bad words list for all languages has also received an update.
Other Updates Include Motherboard Communication with Physical Components
As per OatmealDome, Nintendo has provided a misspelled version of the name "Adolf Hitler" and whenever someone types it, they will see "hdolfaitler" pop up on the screen. The new bad word will be misspelled for all languages and not just English.
Other changes include upgrades when it comes to the device's bus allowing it to handle communications better on the motherboard. This means physical components like the GPIO, I2C, and UART can exchange data with the motherboard on a faster and more efficient basis.
