"Fortnite" and "Among Us" finally get on a collaboration together after Epic Games allegedly copied its setup, focusing on the "Impostor Mode" that is available on the battle royale. Items are coming in the "Fortnite" Item Shop that will focus on "Among Us" themed goodies that the public may purchase, and it is to have a better experience that connects both games.
'Among Us,' 'Fortnite' Finally Collaborates for Impostor Mode
According to a tweet by Innersloth, "Fortnite" is collaborating with the company to bring "Among Us" items that will be available on the battle royale's Item Shop and will focus on making the experience complete. The items will be available in the Impostor Mode of the company, and there the interactive goodies will reflect what "Among Us" brings to its game.
However, instead of boarding a spaceship and coming to space locations, users will board the Battle Bus on the way to special locations on the island for the Impostor mode's experience.
What are the Items to Come in this Collaboration?
The space crew of "Among Us" will come as back bling that hangs from the back of the players that join the game, and if they are an impostor, they will have special animation and effects. Getting slain by an impostor while carrying back bling will also animate the way the characters die in "Among Us," giving "Fortnite" gamers a complete experience.
There will also be a new emote for gamers to try, and it is called the "Distraction Dance."
'Fortnite' and 'Among Us'
"Fortnite" and "Among Us" have a history together, and it is because the famous battle royale jumped on the bandwagon regarding the Impostor mode that appeared on its platform in the past. The game's setup got popular during the start of the pandemic, centering on a famous title known as "Among Us," which also appeared on "Fortnite" a year later.
Some got excited about the feature as they may play it on consoles or the PC, with friends also joining in the experience via the famous online game. However, some got sad about what happened, especially when "Fortnite" chose to create the game mode without any collaboration with Innersloth for this matter.
The public was expecting a crossover between the two games but did not see one in the initial release.
However, "Fortnite" did not end that on a bad note, as it is focusing on bringing the Impostor Mode now with special items from "Among Us" and Innersloth via a collaboration. Users may enjoy these items once it drops on "Fortnite," as Innersloth talked about the collaboration coming on Thursday, and is available on the item shop now.
