Elon Musk revealed new information about Twitter's daily raw feed because it is something that he wishes to monitor at all times, looking at its data and analyzing the company's day-to-day. Once he becomes the private owner of Twitter, Musk and his team will continue to monitor the daily raw feed for any discrepancies or problems.
Now, it is something that he intended to do despite the deal still ongoing.
Elon Musk: Twitter's Daily Raw Feed is only 50GB, Fits in USB Stick
Musk corrected a Twitter user's statement regarding the amount of data that comes in every day, focusing on the daily raw feed of Twitter that is speculated to have massive numbers. However, Musk said that the average data from a single tweet is only 100 bytes, the more than 500 million daily users that tweet their sentiments only make up 50 GB of data.
The tech CEO said that this amount of data can fit in a "USB stick" daily, and he may monitor the data coming in and out of the company easier than the public thinks. However, these are daily tweets in words or letters, not accounting for media, emojis, and other special features of the company.
Nevertheless, the CEO shows that he can take up the role and task of monitoring the data from the company.
Twitter's Daily Consumption: Raw Feed from 500M+ Tweets
A Twitter user said that Musk will consume massive amounts of data from Twitter's raw feed daily, and here, the user included a video of a massive water system shooting out volumes of the aqua. It is a euphemism of what Musk is to face when monitoring Twitter's feed, but it was corrected by the CEO via a tweet.
Elon Musk and Twitter
Elon Musk is in the process of buying Twitter, and despite the deal cutout for him prized at $44 million, the CEO still refused to push through because of hidden information by the company. It was previously discussed on Twitter that Musk's reason for bots refusing its sale is valid, and it is because Twitter violated the terms of transparency about the company.
There were many propositions from Twitter regarding improving the systems and its operations, particularly with hiding false information when a national or international crisis is happening. Musk's deal is still on hold with Twitter, and it is on the Tesla CEO's side to decide on and map out what happens in the deal.
Musk has many plans for Twitter once he gets a hold of the company and transfers its ownership to the new management, together with Tesla, SpaceX, Starlink, and more. It seems that Musk is ready to take anything that Twitter throws at him, especially with the massive data it processes on the platform, especially as a social media entity with many daily active users.
