With the increasing demand for workers in the AI field, Google is planning to increase its efforts to help individuals get jobs through its Interview Warmup. The new initiative will help candidates through the interview process by asking questions and providing quick feedback.
Google Interview Warmup Tool is Designed to Assist Applicants
According to the story by Tech Radar, Google is trying to assist applicants that might feel anxious before an important interview. The company plans to do this with its new Interview Warmup tool.
As noted by Google, the new tool will help applicants by preparing them for a job interview. Applicants will be asked a series of questions that were selected directly by an industry expert.
Tool Aims to Simulate Real-Life Interview Scenarios
The whole process aims to simulate real-life interview scenarios. After the interaction, the AI will then receive the response and also point out certain patterns and talking points that it has found in the simulated interview.
The whole idea of the new Google feature is to allow applicants to prepare and polish their answers before the actual interview. Applicants will also be receiving feedback which includes notes on how to improve.
Interview Warmup Gives Applicants Direction on What to Focus on
Questions that will be asked include asking applicants whether they have experienced a difficult time at work and how they were able to overcome it. Based on the response, the tool could recommend that the applicant should focus on the "lessons learned" and the "results" of the difficult time.
The tool is generally designed in order to help guide applicants into crafting a correct and detailed answer. Applicants that use Interview Warmup won't be graded based on their responses.
New Tool was Created for the Google Career Certificate Program
Instead, its users will be able to use the judgment-free space in order to learn how they might improve for an actual interview. As per Google, the Interview Warmup was created "specifically for its Google Career Certificate program" in order to help teach its users different tech-related skills.
Despite having graduated from the Google Career Certificate program, however, the company acknowledges that some people might still struggle to get a job because of how they respond in interviews despite their expertise.

The Tool is Designed to Coach Graduates on Different Interview Questions
The tool is designed to coach graduates and help them come up with good answers to different interview questions. The Interview Warmup tool, however, is focused mainly on tech industry jobs including Data Analytics and IT Support.
The company is also planning to push the tool to be able to help applicants land AI-related positions by designing questions that might come up during the interview. There is also an option for general questions in order for applicants of other fields to practice their interview skills.
