Google Pixel Tablet likely comes with stylus support once it debuts sometime in 2023, a recent Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) list suggests.
Google Pixel Tablet
Google confirmed its long-rumored tablet, under its growing Pixel branding, during its recent I/O 2022 event, as per a news story by 9to5Google.
The renowned search engine announced that it is developing a Pixel tablet, which would hit the shelves not earlier than next year or in 2023.
A couple of rumors previously hinted that Google is working on a tablet, but the tech giant only confirmed the timeline of its release last month during its I/O event.
The phone maker has yet to preview implicit details of its upcoming tablet. However, it revealed that its very own in-house Tensor chip is powering the upcoming Pixel device, which carries a larger display.
According to the latest report by Phone Arena, the Pixel Tablet is likely coming along with the third-generation Tensor chip as its second version is expected to see its shimmer of the spotlight this 2022.
Google Pixel Tablet Stylus?
Shortly after the confirmation of Google that it is working on a Pixel tablet, a list of USI products includes what appears to be the upcoming device.
9to5Google notes in its report that a recent list of USI Certified Products has emerged online. It includes various devices from tech giants, such as HP, ASUS, and Lenovo, mostly for their Chromebook offerings.
The most interesting sighting on the list is a product that goes by the name Tangor. The certification catalog says the device is from Google, further revealing that it is a Tablet.
It is worth noting that the Universal Stylus Initiative seeks to standardize active pen input for its certified products.
The tech giant behind Pixel devices joined the initiative way back in 2018. The move was made thanks to several Chromebooks that feature stylus support.
All that said, it appears that Google recently got its upcoming tablet device a USI certification.
The recent list highly suggests that the upcoming Pixel tablet is likely debuting with stylus support.
However, it is to note that the list did not specifically mention which tablet got it. Instead, it only states the codename "Tangor."
