Company to Release More Info Regarding the iOS, WatchOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS
While Apple fans are getting ready for the company's annual event keynote, the Worldwide Developers Conference, users could get more info regarding updates the company is making for iOS, WatchOS, iPadOS, macOS, and tvOS.

iPhone 14 Series to Include the iOS 16 Always-on Display
Apple's fall event is usually when new features are revealed for the company's latest devices. As per Mark Gurman, a journalist at Bloomberg with experience in Apple leaks, the iPhone 14 series along with the iOS 16 could have the always-on display function enabled.
Gurman said that Apple initially planned to have an always-on display for the iPhone 13 but now, the iOS 16 will help the company bring this feature to life. In order for the feature to work, the iPhones will have to significantly slow down their frame rate on the lock screen.

iPhone 14 Pro to Include Variable Refresh Rates
Luckily, the iOS 16 aims to bring this feature to life. Gurman notes that the technology used in order to enable always-on display is similar to those used on the Apple Watches.
The Apple Watch Series 5 is poised t include an always-on display feature that has variable refresh rates, which is also expected to be introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models. This means that instead of high refresh rates, the refresh rates will drop down to a more efficient level when left always-on.
The refresh rates of the always-on displays will be as low as one frame per second up to a maximum of 60 frames per second. This would result in more efficient energy use for the display and in turn, will help the device preserve battery life despite its display always on.
