As of writing, there's no confirmed reason behind the delay. But, some individuals, who are familiar with the search engine giant's business activities, claim that it could be the not-so-advanced features.

They believe that the new Google Pixel Fold, aka Pixel Notepad, will not be enough to compete against existing foldable gadgets, such as Galaxy Z Fold, Oppo Find N, and other models.

Google Pixel Fold's New Launch Date

According to Toms Guide's latest report, Google allegedly pushed back the launch date of its new Pixel Fold smartphone, with an estimated 2023 spring release schedule.

"Hearing from multiple sources in their supply chain that the Google foldable launch was delayed till next spring...," said Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC).

This is not the first time the tech giant manufacturer changed Pixel Fold's launch schedule. Previously, many speculations claimed that the new Pixel Fold was supposed to be launched before 2021 ended.

However, this didn't happen. Because of this, new rumors arose, claiming that Google canceled the development of its first foldable tech.

Then, some critics declined the rumored Pixel Notepad cancelation, clarifying that Google continued its project and will launch its first foldable model around late 2022.

Google Pixel Fold Can't Compete With Other Foldables?

The Elec's latest report claim that Pixel Fold's launch date has been delayed since its features are not enough to compete against Samsung Galaxy Flip and other popular foldable models.

If this is true, then the search engine giant is actually putting it on its sideline devices. On the other hand, it is believed that the new Pixel Notepad has a lot of similarities with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 3.

These include a 7.57-inc main screen, as well as an ultra-thin glass cover. If you want to see further details about the upcoming Google Pixel Fold, you can visit this link.

On the other hand, Google Pixel devices received the new video call function called "type-to-talk."
