A new Instagram Story layout is allegedly being tested and developed by the Meta-owned app.
Instead of offering new filters or other enhancements, this upgrade is expected to limit the number of IG Stories that appear on your profile.
Meta designed the Instagram Stories feature so that users can still post photos that they don't want to remain on their timeline.
This in-app feature is quite similar to the Facebook Stories function. For the past few years, IG users can post as many IG Stories as they want to post on their accounts.
But, if the rumors regarding the new change, then this will definitely change soon.
Instagram New Story Layout To Hide Excess Stories

Based on the information he leaked, the feature will soon display a maximum of three photos. This means that consumers can only see three images at the front of your IG Stories section.
But, you can still publish as many images as you like. But, the excess photos will be hidden. If your followers want to see all of them, they need to click the "Show All" option.
For some individuals, this new Story layout will be a bad change for Instagram. However, some experts said that the three-limit display would bring out the creativity of the users even more.
This is because they will be forced to choose their top three IG Stories images before they can publish them on their accounts.
Other Rumored Instagram Changes
Aside from the new Story layout feature, some IG users claim that the giant online photo platform also changes its app's logo.
They said that Instagram looks like it has undergone some changes since it has brighter colors.
"Anyone fond of the new Instagram logo? I find the purplish tint way too much on the top middle region. They have followed the same gradient for the stories ring too," said an Instagram consumer, HITC.
