As IFLScience spotted via a report from the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, real-time bidding (RTB) is indeed taking place on the internet.

RTB can get your confidential information, including your address, device name, and even your search history. In the meantime, the data will be utilized to launch advertisements on a particular platform.

At this point, data sharing has been executed. This term is also called "RTB broadcast." The report says that ad auctions are all over the place so you need to be careful when browsing a site.

Last year, more than $117 billion were generated by the auctions across Europe and the United States alone.

The report adds that the RTB market will continue to boom as we near 2026. By that time, it could achieve a growth of nearly $16.52 billion. That's very alarming news on the part of the users.

Daily RTB Broadcasts

In a similar report from IFL Science, it was mentioned that the daily average personal data in the US is shared 747 times. It's much higher compared to Europe at 376 times.

Furthermore, a whopping number of 178 trillion data (combined from the US and Europe) is shared annually, according to the source.

In the United States, the state with the most number of residents hit by this issue is Colorado. Based on the report, there are approximately 987 RTB broadcasts that happen daily in this region.

Meanwhile, the District of Columbia records the lowest number of incidents at 486 RTB broadcasts.

In Europe, the UK has the highest number of daily RTB broadcasts at 486. Romania is observed to have the least number at 149.

The supposedly "biggest data breach" is found to be evident on Google. The report says that it's the "biggest" RTB firm to date.

The search engine titan has reportedly been allowing 1,058 Europe-based and 4,698 US-based companies to gain access to personal data.

Although the report says otherwise, the company previously clarified that they are not used to sharing confidential details, per TechCrunch.

Latest Data Breach

Speaking of a data breach, Ohio-based firm Parker has recently revealed an announcement about the latest data breach. Following a report from Bleeping Computer, the Conti Ransomware gang is likely the culprit behind this hacking incident.

The event occurred two months ago. Parker found out that third-party users took control of the system access at that time.
