Verizon plan prices are increasing on the first day of June, adding up a few more dollars to the bill of its new and loyal postpaid customers.
The latest move of Verizon follows the recent surge in the cost of old AT&T plans, joining its rival carrier in charging more expensive postpaid fees.
Verizon Plan Price Increase
As per a news story by The Verge, the giant carrier in the United States, Verizon announced that it is charging all of its postpaid customers with slightly more expensive fees once May comes to an end.
As such, customers of Verizon should expect their postpaid bills by next month to show a few more dollars as the carrier jacks up its administrative fee.
Verizon confirmed that it is adding $1.35 to the monthly administrative fee of its postpaid users. The Verge says that the price increase brings it up to $3.30 per voice line.
The spokesperson of Verizon, Adria Tomaszewski, explained the price increase in all of its plans in an email to The Verge.
The Verizon spokesperson stated that the carrier "reviews and make adjustments to fees to defray some of Verizon's administrative and telco expenses and costs of complying with regulatory requirements."
So it appears that the giant carrier is not keen on being specific about its latest price increase. But its customers could guess that it might have something to do with the inflating cost that Verizon is likely currently facing.
That said, its spokesperson said that "Verizon Consumer will implement a change beginning in June."

Verizon Business Plan Price Increase
On top of that, Verizon also revealed that it is jacking up the prices of some of its business accounts in the middle of next month.
The tech giant is introducing an additional "Economic Adjustment Charge" to a few business accounts. Thus, its enterprise customers should also braze for a more expensive monthly fee.
The additional fee for business customers goes as high as $2.20 monthly per data device and line of each smartphone. On the other hand, basic phone and tablet plans of enterprises increase to the tune of 98 cents, according to a recent story by Android Central.
Contrary to the statement of Verizon regarding the price increase for its personal customers, it gives its business accounts a more specific explanation for the price increase.
Verizon said that the "current economic conditions impacting businesses worldwide continue to mount and despite our best efforts to mitigate the further impact." As such, the tech firm is introducing a new fee that aptly goes by the name "Economic Adjustment Charge."
