A report by CNet confirms that a new BMW XM variant is coming alongside its release by 2023, and it will be a more powerful vehicle compared to what it already offers on the market. The car is still a concept now, and the report said it will reveal by September this year and released or go on sale by March 2023.

The vehicle already has its concepts for the SUV and a working prototype that gives the public a sense of what it is and what it aims to offer when it is available.

Sven Ritter, the project manager of the XM, said that there is another variant coming to the public come March, and it will focus on a better performing vehicle than its present specs and trim. Note that this car will not come in the "Competition" name, the namesake for better performance outputs.

BMW XM: Concept Hybrid SUV

BMW released the concept XM as a hybrid SUV, and the company is not staying away from that, as it will center on its current offers and better it for the following variant. It already offers 750 horsepower, and 737 lb. ft. of torque available on its concept reveal last year.

It currently sports a twin-turbo V8 that pairs with a reported 20 kW battery pack to focus on its hybrid offer.

BMW's Electric Cars

BMW is not much into electric mobility, but the company is trying to bring its EV takes for the public to enjoy its offers and brand for their swap to the new frontier. One of its significant offers is its electric motorcycles that will change the way people use the "big bikes" as they go around and travel with two wheels.

The company still keeps the internal combustion engines alive, and one of the most famous examples is the M-series lineup that keeps the trim alive. Notably, BMW released three cars from this lineup, including the renowned M3, M4, and its top-of-the-line release, the BMW M5, which brings a twin-turbo engine and a sporty performance.

One of the main struggles of BMW now is its chipsets and other components that forced it to forego its offers on touch screen information systems that also double as its car stereo. However, despite that problem, the company intends to release the XM as its next frontrunner for SUVs, focusing on cleaner energy vehicles.
