Dish Network is looking forward to introducing a new wireless plan that will tackle blockchain. The wireless carrier could potentially pave the way for an easy buying of tech devices in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
According to the CEO of Boost Mobile, Stephen Stokols, the upcoming plan will be branded "Boost Infinite." It is expected to arrive this fall.
Dish Network to Bring Blockchain-Focused Plan
Although it's mentioned in the report that the wireless network plan will bring digital currency, it does not automatically refer to crypto. However, Stokols clarifies that we could soon buy tech gadgets through decentralized financing.
"Imagine if there was a wireless carrier that embraced digital acceleration, the web 3.0 trends, to reshape the entire wireless experience. Or imagine if you could turn your unused data into a real digital currency," Stokols said.
According to The Verge's report, you will be able to purchase an iPhone with a cryptocurrency. Aside from that, there's something that you can do more with this unlimited plan.
The tech publication writes that the platform could potentially let the users trade minutes for NFTs (non-fungible tokens). It should be noted that Dish Network is already launching a pilot project regarding its 5g network solution.
Those who participated in the early game beta for Project Genesis will receive rewards in the form of NFTs.
Moreover, Stokols hopes that the company is eyeing to focus on introducing more about the "Boost Infinite" branding. It could be accomplished by bringing the three wireless carriers.
Before launching it to the mass market, Dish Network wants to release it from the prepaid market first.
In the next few weeks, the project expansion that will target initial launch markets is about to happen, per John Swieringa, Dish president.

Dish Wireless Talks About its Expensive 5G Phone
Over the past week, a lot of users have raised their concerns on Twitter regarding Dish Wireless' costly smartphone. The $900 Motorola Edge+ has become the topic on the social media platform.
Per Swieringa, there's a handful of their phones that do not sport Band 70. Speaking of which, the X65 Qualcomm models have been launched and the company aggregated it to both Band 66 and 71.
Regarding its launch, Dish says that the expected data for the Band 70 devices will fall in the third quarter of 2022. Aside from that, the Band 70 could be complicated to understand, per AllNEt Insights president Brian Goemmer.
According to the analyst, nine out of 10 individuals could not comprehend everything about Band 70, per Fierce Wireless.
Some experts claim that Dish lags behind its marketing strategy and it should be improved further. This is indeed a huge challenge that the company needs to overcome one day.
