Russia's RuTube, the country's main video platform similar to YouTube, was breached by hackers. The malicious campaign against the online site happened hours before livestreaming the annual Victory Day Parade.
For those who are not familiar with this event, Victory Day Parade is a national holiday commemorating the Soviet Union's victory against Nazi Germany during World War II.
This even happens every May 9. Now, a massive cyberattack prevented RuTube from broadcasting the event. Some rumors claim that the hackers behind the online attack are pro-Ukraine.
They interrupted the video platform from live streaming Russian President Putin's speech.
Russia's RuTube Breach Happens Before Victory Day Parade Live Stream
According to Bleeping Computer's latest report, hackers behind the massive RuTube cyberattack used the platform to send their message.

"On your hands is the blood of thousands of Ukrainians and their hundreds of murdered children. TV and the authorities are lying. No to war," said the anonymous hackers.
RuTube said that this latest malicious campaign is the largest one they have ever faced. As of writing, RuTube is still trying to restore its services.
But, the video platform said that it would take more time since the cyberattack was quite serious. RuTube added that various Russian institution websites have been facing constant online breaches.
Russia's Victory Day Parade 2022
CNBC reported that Russia's Victory Day Parade 2022 marks the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory in World War II.
During the event, more than 65,000 Russians participated. On the other hand, around 2,400 armaments and other war weapons were displayed.
Now, here are some of the things that happened during the military parade:
- Russian President Vladimir Putin gave his speech.
- MSTA-S self-propelled howitzers parade.
- Russian servicewomen parade on Red Square.
- Some Russian Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles were displayed.
- Russian servicemen use tanks to parade.
Meanwhile, Coca-Cola's database was previously hacked by a ransomware group.
On the other hand, a new EU legislation was introduced to force tech firms to remove illegal content on their platforms.
