Elon Musk is calling against false ESG assessments and evaluations for Tesla, as the body provided several reports in the past about misleading information about the company. Musk urged that clean energy companies like Tesla get a bad review regarding this assessment, whereas oil companies get good performance reports.
Elon Musk is Calling Against False ESG Assessments-'Misleading'
Tesla is a company that receives ESG (Environment, Society, and Governance) assessments at present, especially as it is part of the energy sector of the global community for many investors and shareholders internationally. Here, its CEO and founder, Elon Musk, is calling for a change against the "false ESG assessments" made in the present, which bring misleading information.
Musk said that Tesla gets a bad grade despite being a clean energy company regarding this information, especially one coming from the ESG board that gave the company a review. He claimed that oil companies get a better review than Tesla, and it is an outrageous feat for the review entity as these are two comparable industries.
Tesla ESG Evaluation: Large Funds Control Reports?
A part of Tesla's board members said that Elon Musk is not against the ESG as a whole but only denounces the bad practices that it brings to the table. The Tesla CEO agrees with this statement and affirmed this online.
In his tweet, the top billionaire said that "large funds" control these reports and bring different results to its ESG evaluation for many companies under it.
ESG Evaluation and Tesla
ESG became an extensive campaign in the 1960s to give information on companies and their many actions that affect several national and international affairs. Its given information now serves as a guide for many investors in the modern era for the ideal companies to invest in, primarily as it does mainly for the benefactors and shareholders.
The many reviews from the ESG are a piece of prominent information now. It is a significant consideration for some who use its data for many dealings and transactions.
However, Elon Musk already brought out his opinions regarding this available information online, saying that the entities should delete it and its resources to focus on other things. Musk suggests that the resources allotted for this should go to the EU's defense, not for Energy. This statement came from a person working mainly for the world's energy industry.
Now, the Tesla CEO is calling for the ESG's false assessments to stop and focus on the more essential things and contributions of the clean energy vehicle industry for its information. Tesla is a known company that not only focuses on vehicles but also on the clean energy industry like Solar Power, Powerwalls, and avoiding the use of coal power.
