Apple has not scheduled the next launch event yet, but it is expected that the next flagship smartphone from the Cupertino tech giant will be in September or October.
Apple's Event Plans
According to MacRumors, Apple will have a pretty busy year. The tech giant is known to hold three to four events annually.
There is a spring event every March, the Worldwide Developers Conference in June, an event every September to showcase the latest iPhone series and Apple Watch series, and sometimes an October event if iPads or Macs are to launch.
This September, Apple is expected to hold an iPhone-centric event to introduce the new iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8.
Fans can expect four iPhone 14 models, including the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. However, will be no 5.4-inch iPhone 14 mini.
The iPhone 14 Pro models are expected to have a "hole-punch" design that does away with the notch for a better and larger display area. The front-facing camera will be located in a tiny cutout, and the Face ID hardware will be in a second pill-shaped cutout.
Other possible features for the iPhone 14 series include a titanium frame for the Pro models, camera improvements, a faster A16 chip, and a faster 5G modem.
As for the Apple Watch Series 8, it could get new health features that include temperature sensing and sleep apnea detection, and more advanced health features like blood glucose monitoring and blood pressure measurements are a possibility, though it may be rolled out after the launch of the smartwatch.
