According to The New York Times' latest report, Twitter is expected to have more than 11,000 employees around 2025. But, Musk will first remove around 1,000 staff working for the platform.

This means that the 9,225 employees of Twitter this 2022 will be decreased by around 8,300 in 2023.
The Daily Mail UK reported that most of the affected workers are those who are "woke" (individuals who are open when it comes to injustice in society).
Once the massive employee removal happens, Musk said that he would hire replacements. Most of the new employees are expected to have experience in the field of engineering.
With this detail, there's a high chance that the billionaire will start working on enhancing the platform's features.
Other Twitter Plans of Musk
Aside from the massive staff removal, the billionaire also said he wants to increase the number of active users on the social media platform.
The tech CEO claimed that he wants Twitter to have around 900 million additional users by 2028. Of course, Elon explained that this massive increase would be achieved slowly.
First, he plans to have around 217 million consumers by the end of 2022. After that, around 600 million additional users are expected by 2025.
