The Tesla Giga Berlin expansion will happen after the automaker's latest land acquisition.
When Elon Musk announced that he was building a Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany, many environmentalists shared their concerns.
Experts said that the massive factory could make the noise, air, and water pollution in the area worst. Although this is the case, Musk's efforts allowed them to open the Giga Berlin.
Now, the billionaire plans to expand the 300-acre Gigafactory Berlind using the land it purchased, which is just beside the already-built manufacturing plant.
Tesla Giga Berlin Expansion To Happen
According to Electrek's latest report, the new land that Tesla purchased near its Giga Berlin factory is around 100 acres.

Specifically, the new land is located directly east of the Tesla Giga site. It is also between the RE1 line and the L23 state roads.
Based on the information gathered by German media, Tesla will use the newly acquired land to construct a train station, as well as new storage areas.
As of writing, the automaker hasn't confirmed if it successfully completed the land acquisition. On the other hand, Tesla also decided to keep the total amount a secret.
But, some experts claim that the new land could be worth around $13.7 million. While waiting for the EV maker's official announcements, the automaker is still making efforts to enhance its Model Y productions.
What is Inside Tesla Giga Berlin?
Interesting Engineering recently reported that a drone video was able to capture the things within the new Tesla Giga Berlin, which was opened on Mar. 22.
In the first part of the video, the drone was seen flying across some parked Model Y and other Tesla EV models. After that, it was able to enter the factory and record the activities of the automaker's machines.

Recently, Tesla EV cobalt-free LFP batteries are expected to be used in newly manufactured EV units.
