Facebook Soundbites and Podcasts will soon be removed from the giant social media platform.
Some rumors claim that this action of Meta is a part of its effort to make the website's audio portfolio simpler.
This in-app activity has been identified just after a year of Soundbites and Podcasts launches.
"We're constantly evaluating the features we offer so we can focus on the most meaningful experience," said a Meta spokesperson.
He added that these two audio features would be pulled out from Facebook since Meta has a different plan for them.
Facebook Soundbites, Podcasts To Be Removed
According to Gizmodo's latest report, the removal of Soundbites and Podcasts was confirmed in a letter that Facebook sent to its partners.
Some hints were already spotted by various experts. They said that the tech giant manufacturer started to focus less on its audio features last April.
They added that Meta prefers to work on its metaverse innovations, as reported by Business Insider. Now, speculations claim that Facebook's Soundbites and Podcasts will no longer be available starting on June 3.
As of writing, it is still unclear if the fans can still send Facebook Stars to their favorite podcasters.
Facebook's Plans for Its Audio Services
While Soundbites and Podcasts are now being prepared to be removed, rumors stated that Facebook would combine the Live Audio Rooms will be combined with Facebook Live.
This means that Meta's streaming and audio features will soon be more intact. When it comes to notifying users, the leaked note revealed that the tech giant manufacturer's partners are the only ones that received the company's message.
Because of this, experts claimed that FB doesn't have any plan to notify consumers regarding the massive audio feature removal. This can be an issue since many Facebook users spend their own money to support their favorite podcasters.
Meanwhile, Facebook's daily active user record was finally broken by Snapchat.
On the other hand, some speculations claim that Meta's Zuck Bucks are now under development.
