A car GPS allegedly led a woman driver to a police station's stairs. But, authorities said that she could be DUI (Driving Under Influence).
Various drivers experience issues with the Global Position System since it is still an imperfect innovation. One of the common issues with GPS models is the wrong navigation.
There are instances when drivers are led to dead-ends, one-way roads, and other troublesome paths. This is what a 26-year-old woman experienced.
Car GPS Allegedly Leads Woman To Police Station Stairs
The Portland Maine Police Department confirmed the incident via its official Facebook account. Officials said that the woman tried to drive down their stairs to reach Middle Street.

"She said she was following her GPS instructions but responding officers felt it was her excessive blood alcohol level. She was issued a summons for OUI," they explained.
Police officials said that no one was injured by accident. However, their garage suffered from a small amount of damage.
They also reminded the public to avoid drinking and driving at the same time. Of course, many people shared their opinion regarding the viral incident.
A Facebook user explained that even if her GPS guided her to the police station's stairs, she could still avoid driving down there herself, as reported by News 18.
He added that having a driver's license needs common sense. Based on the photos, the car really looked like it tried to drive down the stairs slowly since its position is perfectly aligned with the stairs.

Incorrect GPS Navigation Issue
GPS Gov reported that Global Position System models sometimes show incorrect navigation information because they rely on satellite signals.
Issues may appear on your car GPS when you are in the following situations:
- Driving in places with lots of trees, as well as on bridges and cities with very tall buildings.
- Driving in a tunnel.
- Driving underground.
