OnlyFans Russian creator account suspension is now happening.
As the issue between Russia and Ukraine continues, the popular subscription-based social media platform said it had no choice but to halt its operations in Russia.
Recently, the popular photo/video application also stopped its operation in the country. But, it was able to resume its activities in March.
Although this is the case, Russian creators shared their frustration since the platform is becoming more unstable in Russia, as reported by Fox Business.
Now, their prediction has come true as OnlyFans conduct another suspension.
Why OnlyFans Russian Creator Accounts are Suspended
According to Mashable's latest report, OnlyFans decided to suspend the Russian creator accounts since the company can no longer serve the country properly.
The application company said that they tried to find ways how to provide proper services to their Russian users. But, they failed to do so.
"However due to a further tightening of payment restrictions to and from Russia, OnlyFans can no longer properly serve our Russian creator community," said the social media firm.
Now, will this be a temporary suspension or a permanent halt?
OnlyFans Russia Suspension is Temporary
Just like the recent operation halt, the latest suspension is also temporary. The subscription-based app explained that they are still making efforts to allow the creator accounts, which are affected by the payment restrictions against Russia, to go back to normal.
This issue is still concerning many OnlyFans users, especially those who use the app for their monthly income. Aside from OnlyFans, other subscription-based online platforms are also affected by the ongoing sanctions.
These include YouTube, TikTok, and other social media sites. For example, YouTube was able to use new methods how it can help its creators get paid while the payment restrictions in Russia are still active.
Meanwhile, pro-Putin Facebook accounts recently attracted a lot of users. But, many of them were already find their workarounds.
Recently, the Twitter content limitation for Russian government accounts was implemented.
