Lincoln unveiled a new EV concept (basically an electric SUV) whose amenities are making it some sort of a "spa on wheels."
A quick look at what this new EV from Lincoln does and you'll know why it's called that. According to The Verge, the company designed the Star Concept to be "the ultimate sanctuary" for rich folks in the future.
It features three so-called "Mood Settings" which work as follows:
Coastal Morning: Turning this on will make the car play gentle, oceanic sounds, sprinkle a fragrance of sea mist, and light up the interior with dynamic lighting to simulate what it looks like when you stroll down the beach at dawn.
Mindful Vitality: Go for this setting if you want to "re-energize" yourself with upbeat music, so-called "dynamic abstract artwork," and soft lighting with a flowery fragrance.
Evening Chill: If you're driving home from work and you want to wind down on the road, turn this on to get a "calming night soundtrack" combined with a video of the night sky and an evergreen fragrance.
But while all of this sounds mighty fancy, you can't pre-order it. Not even if you have the money. That's because the Star EV is still a concept and not in production yet. Lincoln hasn't even shared any details about the electric car's technical specs, like its range, charging, battery, or even power train.
Lincoln plans a total of three production EVs under the Star banner to debut by 2025, reports CNET. There's also a fourth one slated to come a year later in 2026. Here's a quick video from the carmaker's official YouTube channel, showcasing the electric SUV concept in all its glory:
It seems to be that all the Star models look like they took a lot of design cues from the company's Aviator line of SUVs, though the nose is much shorter in comparison. And the overall aesthetic does look decidedly futuristic with obvious hints of luxury.
No hints of pricing were shared.

More Details About The Lincoln Star EV Concept
Lincoln's new luxury electric car concept is the latest in luxury carmakers' attempts to break into the fast-growing EV market. And they want to make sure that their offering stands out from the rest.
Among its other nifty features include a large screen on the instrument panel, as well as a retractable steering wheel that you can hide whenever you want. Once the wheel is hidden way, you can turn both the front seats to face the rear ones, which makes for a lounge-like setting not too different from what you'll see in a private jet.
This lounge setting is also punctuated by the Star's door configuration, which opens on opposite hinges to reveal a single, wide entry point.
All of these perks will need to work in Lincoln's favor, considering that the company plans to have more than half of the cars they produce in North America be electric by 2030, reports CNBC.
