A press release from Lexus drops the new vehicle to public knowledge, and it is the RZ 450e electric vehicle that brings a new SUV to the company's lineup. The new RZ 450e is the company's latest take on electric cars, and it will feature an all-wheel-drive setup that will run on electric motors to power its mobility.

It features a 225-mile range on its battery that has a capacity of 71.4 kWh and features its latest technology known as Direct4. The RZ 450e is also the company's first electric vehicle that will make it to production, with its expected release date coming by 2024.

The company said that it is the first battery-electric vehicle (BEV) that it will bring for the public to avail, apart from its existing lineup of hybrid EVs (HEV) and plug-in hybrid EVs (PHEV).

Lexus RZ 450e Offers Yoke Steering Wheel Option

Note that Lexus offers two steering wheel options for this new EV, and it will have a round design common to most modern vehicles and a U-shaped one known as the "Yoke." It is similar to the concept of Tesla but will have different takes on design and functions.

According to The Verge, Lexus will offer the EV with a standard wheel in its first year of sale.

The company revealed its electric sports car earlier this year, and it focuses on a 2-door sedan that runs on an electric motor and batteries. The BEV also took its capabilities to the track, and it recorded whopping speeds for the car. Lexus' new electric vehicle hints at its recognizable branding of sporty edges and design.

There are still regular lines in Lexus's manufacturing, particularly with the RX and ES lineup.

The Japanese car manufacturer is stepping up with the electric vehicles that are now fully integrated into its systems. Before this, Lexus released their take on hybrid cars, and it fared massively in the market, being the option for a more affordable luxury vehicle with superb performance.
