Norman Schwartz and Bio-Rad
Even if Schwartz already spent his younger years staying inside the laboratories of Bio-Rad, he continued the legacy of his mother and father, who founded the company.
Meanwhile, according to the report by Bloomberg, Schwartz has been with Bio-Rad Laboratories since 1995, wherein he served as its board member.
Back then, his father, David, still took the helm at Bio-Rad, sitting as its CEO.
However, in 2003, there was a massive leadership change in Bio-Rad as David stepped down as the chief executive of the company.
The younger Schwartz expanded his role from merely sitting as a board member of Bio-Rad. He took over the company as he was named its CEO.
Almost a decade after that the CEO took the chairmanship role in the company. As such, the younger Schwartz is now the Chairman, President, and CEO of Bio-Rad.

Schwartz and his Success as CEO
The Bio-Rad boss shared in the Investors.com interview that he "grew up in an environment of determination and innovation." That's why to Schwartz problem-solving is more of a second nature to him.
The younger Schwartz also highlighted a lesson that he learned from his father that he still keeps today. He revealed that his dad was a firm believer of the old adage that says: "if it is worth doing, it is worth doing right."
