Twitter Edit Button: Here’s How the Feature Works According to App Developer

Twitter's Edit Button is not yet available on the platform, and users will still need to double-check their tweets before sending them and publishing them online. However, users can go back to their publicized content and edit its text and possibly the media included in the said tweet once it comes.

There may be many questions about how it will appear and work, with an app developer leaking the feature's details online.

Twitter Edit Button: Here's How It Works Says a Developer

An app developer named Nima Owji shared his experience online, and it shows a GIF that gives the first look at how the Twitter "Edit Tweet" button would work when it goes live. The feature is highly exclusive to the users of Twitter Blue and selected people only, and the leak gives the public an idea of how it will appear soon.

The only thing to do is click a tweet that a user wishes to edit and toggle the three-lined dots that access its settings or drop-down menu. The options for Embed tweet, Pin to your profile, reply settings, and other options will be joined by the Edit Tweet button.

Clicking Edit Tweet would take a user back to the tweet mode, where they can type, delete, and edit the published information.

Twitter Edit Button: When's the Release Date?

Twitter Comms initially confirmed that the social media platform is testing out the edit button, and it is a venture that the company looked into for a long time now. However, the tweet also said that the feature is coming indefinitely, as they will have to study what will come for the public when it releases its full feature.

Head of Consumer Product on Twitter, Jay Asher, also confirmed this feature to come.

Twitter Features in the Social Media

Twitter confirmed the Edit Button for the social media platform after decades of not having it in the application for users to utilize in their announcements or statuses. It is currently at the exclusive, subscription-only feature from the social media, Twitter Blue, where it is beta testing for its users to see what works and what does not.

There are many upcoming features for Twitter, and some of them are getting a shed of light because of the new top shareholder of the company, Elon Musk, that publicizes them. The Tesla CEO expressed his support for the long-form tweets that allow users to write more on social media and not be limited to 280 characters only.

However, Twitter is not yet at the part where it is bringing the features to the public yet, and these new offers are still in beta testing or conceptualization by its team. The social media confirmed the Edit Button, and there already was a leak regarding how it works, and it may be something that may come for the public or not.
