Self-Transforming Optimus Prime

This time around, it comes with a massive surprise, an all-new trailer that could simultaneously transform the leader of the Autobot faction.

As per a news story by The Verge, the self-transforming Optimus Prime best suits Transformer fans that have some money to spare as the robot comes with a hefty price tag.

Self-Transforming Optimus Prime Price

To be more precise, the self-transforming Optimus Prime sells for $750 for the robot alone. Meanwhile, if you want to get an additional trailer to complete the set, it would cost you another $750.

So, all in all, the transforming Optimus Prime toy set sells to the tune of $1,500. If you have that much to spare for the limited edition collectible, it is currently available on both HasbroPulse.com and Robosen.com.

It is worth noting that the Optimus Prime collectible launched last year with a cheaper price tag of $700. A year has passed and its cost has inflated by $50.

Hasbro's Optimus Prime Toy: What to Expect

The staggering price tag of the self-transforming Autobot comes with tons of advanced features that are not typically found on most toys out there.

For instance, Hasbro's collectible robot rocks the epic voice of Peter Cullen himself, making it as if Optimus Prime was there in front of you straight from the massive Transformers franchise.

On top of that, the Optimus Prime robot, which first saw the light of day last April 9, 2021, could transform into a robot and a truck, like how other Autobots do.

That's not all, the 19-inch tall collectible could also drive around and pose like a superhero.

The driving feature of Optimus Prime was made possible by Robosen and Hasbro by stuffing the collectible with 27 servo motors.

The self-transforming Autobot could swiftly convert from the miniature driving truck into a flight-ready robot with a single voice command trigger.

New Optimus Prime Trailer

As mentioned, the limited re-release of the Optimus Prime collectible now comes with an auto-converting trailer.

According to a recent report by CNET, the marvelous new additional $750 Optimus Prime trailer could simultaneously transform alongside the lead Autobot.

Apart from self-transforming, the new trailer could be towed by Optimus. But it could also detach via a hydraulic lift once it needs to transform.
