Last February, PlayStation revealed the first concept design of the PlayStation VR 2, its upcoming device that will replace the earlier version of the wearable tech it released for the console. The confirmation of this VR headset is a massive development for Sony and PlayStation as many speculators and fans already await its arrival.

However, its most recent development is the upcoming eye-tracking capabilities that it will bring with the device's release. The company revealed this via their showcase at the last end of March with the Game Developers' Conference 2022 (GDC), partnering with another company that will bring the experience to a whole new level.

PlayStation revealed that its eye-tracking features will focus on pupil diameter, gaze position and rotation, blink states, and its validity for the mentioned factors.

It is high time for PlayStation to bring an update for its VR device as the first one is already reaching six years old in production.

PSVR 2 will bring eye-tracking for one of its features, which the company revealed in GDC 2022 that brought the company significant developments for the tech wearable. Unity posted the video of its showcase at GDC that talked about the next-generation VR device and games that it will bring to the PlayStation.

Apple's release is only a leak and speculation now, and the Cupertino giant did not yet confirm it.

There already is a patent that appeared on platforms regarding the new PlayStation VR's next release, and it will be the second product of the company regarding virtual reality. The company is aiming to bring this device for everyone to use, and it will pair with the PlayStation 5's console for access to the company's offers.

PSVR 2 is the latest device on the rise of tech wearables that greatly focuses on putting gamers in another perspective that gives them a first-hand experience with the offers. PlayStation revealed its plans last GDC 2022, and it is partnering with Unity for the upcoming content that the company will bring to its fans and gamers.
