According to the story by TechRadar, for those that have been waiting for quite a while regarding the PSVR 2 pre-order announcement date by Sony, the long-awaited announcement is now expected to come really soon.
Tom Henderson, regarded as a prominent insider, shared a tweet stating that the company has already started sending out emails with the title "Introducing PlayStation VR2. This could potentially indicate that the brand new device will be getting its very own event, a PSVR 2 State of Play, sometime soon.
Potential State of Play Event for Sony's Upcoming VR
As per Henderson, both Kinda Funny's Greg Miller, as well as Jeff Grubb, from GamesBeat have heard the same thing when it came to the PSVR 2. This increases the support that the new Sony VR headset could be coming out with a deep-dive for its users through a potential event.

Due to the Oculus Quest 2, or rather known as the Meta Quest 2, VR headsets are starting to pick up in popularity now more than ever. With numerous companies already gearing up towards the VR and the metaverse, demand for the PSVR 2 is growing compared to Sony's first VR in 2016.
The largest problem, as of the moment, is the supply issues due to the global chip shortage. Since buyers are still struggling to get their hands on the PS5 and Sony is struggling to keep up with the demand, it remains unknown as to how the company will deal with supply issues regarding the PSVR 2 when it launches.
