"Call of Duty" may soon integrate NFTs, as a reliable game leaker named Ralphs Valve claimed. But, he hasn't confirmed which of the "Call of Duty" titles will have non-fungible tokens.
"With the Overhaul in Call of Duty's UX/UI, Infinity Ward plans to personalize ACTV Accounts: incorporating: Global Calling Cards & Emblems, Avatars and, Statistics," said Ralphs Valve.
Of course, many gamers shared their negative reactions in the comment section. One of them asked why game developers are suddenly entering the NFT game market.
'Call of Duty' NFT To Arrive
According to Charlie Intel's latest report, the leaker's statement may actually be true. Remember, he is also the one that leaked the arrival of the popular "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."

But, the arrival of "Call of Duty" NFTs will still depend on the decisions of Activision. As of the moment, the giant game developer is believed to be studying the effects of non-fungible in-game content in "Call of Duty."
However, Ralphs added that Activision's NFT innovation also has a chance of not happening, especially since other game creators faced backlashes from their fans.
Recently, Ubisoft was bashed by gamers after it introduced NFTs into "Ghost Recon Breakpoint." Meanwhile, Electronic Arts (EA) was also criticized after claiming that NFTs are the gaming industry's future.
Why is NFT Still Not Accepted by Gamers?
The Verge reported that many gamers still don't accept NFTs because of many factors. First, video game fans want to play their favorite titles without spending too much money.
They prefer paying a one-time fee so they can access their fav title without any expiration date. But, game developers are still experimenting with different methods that will allow them to generate more revenue, and NFT is included.
Because of this, various gamers claim that NFTs will not really enhance their gaming experiences. Instead, this digital in-game content will only make titles more expensive to access.
On Mar. 13, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" was able to become the most-viewed game on Twitch.
Meanwhile, the "Call of Duty: Warzone" mobile version is expected to arrive as Activision recruits game developers to work on the new mobile title.
