Elon Musk and Twitter

It comes as the billionaire tech entrepreneur recently announced that he owns 9.2% of the common stock of Twitter, which according to a recent report by Reuters, accounts for about $3 billion.

In turn, that makes the Tesla CEO the largest shareholder of the social networking platform, the news outlet added in its report.

Since then, the shares of the microblogging site have skyrocketed by an impressive 27 percent since Musk has disclosed his position in the tech giant.

Elon Musk's Twitter Edit Button Poll

As per a news story by Teslarati, the largest shareholder of Twitter, Musk, is now asking its users if they want its long-awaited feature, the edit button.

Musk posted a poll on his official Twitter account, asking the folks on the social media site if they "want an edit button."

There are two options on Musk's Twitter poll, a misspelled affirmative choice, which says "yse," while the other button says "on."

It appears that the billionaire tech exec could no longer edit the misspelled yes and no options in the poll, but users will get it anyway.

The Twitter poll of the Tesla boss already got a whopping 1.2 million votes as of writing, which could still rise in the next 21 hours until it is closed.

At the time of writing this article, about 75 percent of the 1.2 voters had agreed that Twitter should include an edit button.

On the other hand, about 25% of the respondents said they do not want an edit button.

Teslarati said in the same report that the tech billionaire has been using Twitter polls to understand what the customers of Tesla need.

In fact, the news outlet highlighted that Musk must have also used the poll feature on the platform to decide whether he is investing on Twitter.

The assumption comes after the Tesla CEO previously asked Twitter users if the social media platform adheres to free speech, wherein the results show that the majority believes otherwise.
