Blue Box Game Studios has officially addressed the rumors regarding the cancellation of an upcoming game, "Abandoned: Prologue." The upcoming game is said to be one of the rare PlayStation 5 exclusive games to come up.
PlayStation 5 Exclusive 'Abandoned: Prologue'
While it has been a while since the PlayStation 5 was released, there has been little to no talk regarding PS5 exclusive games. "Abandoned: Prologue" is expected to be one of the few games to be exclusive to the new Sony console.
Rumors, however, have started spurring regarding how the project has been canceled, leading the developer behind the game, Blue Box Game Studios, to release an official statement to clarify what is really happening.
Blue Box Game Studios Gives Official Response to Cancellation Rumors
According to the tweet by Blue Box Game Studios, the company said that they have received numerous questions regarding the status of their game "Abandoned." In response, the company clearly stated that the rumors regarding the cancellation of "Abandoned" are false.
Aside from the clarification, Blue Box Game Studios gave an update regarding the status of the developer's progress, saying they are currently working with Realtime Experience app and online channels for the upcoming reveal of the game.
Blue Box Game Studios Announces 'Abandoned: Prologue' Delay
Blue Box Game Studios also noted that they are currently working on the "Prologue" for the game, saying that although their original reveal plans were in Q1 of 2022, they reportedly underestimated their development roadmap.
The company then officially announced that they will be delaying the release of the "Abandonment: Prologue" and will only release the game once it is stable and ready for gamers to play.
Thread Regarding Blue Box Game Studios' Previous Statements
On top of the announcement of the game's delay, the company also apologized to the public and said that they will be continuing to work on the game and will notify everyone once they are finally able to launch the game.
In the thread, however, a Twitter account, Lance McDonald, said that the company deleted most of their tweets regarding the future plans for "Abandoned" future. In fact, the account has also pointed out that Blue Box Game Studios initially said that they would be releasing a playable demo sometime soon along with other statements.

Previous Blue Box Game Studios Tweets Deleted?
The account says that Blue Box Game Studios gave false claims in the past, stating the reason behind the 6GB trailer app is due to it having more footage. Although the company claimed that the issue could be fixed with a simple patch, after a few months, the tweets that contain the statement have been deleted.
The account then said that "I don't think that game ever existed," adding the company blew a lot of effort into marketing the pre-teaser hype and that they have "gone flaccid."
