Instead, as per a news story by Tech Radar, folks based in Australia are getting another version of the top-tier that goes by the name PS Plus Deluxe.

It is to note that the revamped version of PlayStation Plus releases in the US, UK, Japan, and other locations with three tiers-namely Essential, Extra, and Premium.

The PS Plus Essential is the entry-level version of the gaming subscription service of Sony, which comes with free monthly games, cloud saves, as well as exclusive discounts for its users.

Meanwhile, the mid-tier PS Plus Extra flaunts additional access to a huge library of up to 400 PS4 and PS5 gaming titles.

PS Plus Premium: Not Available in Australia?

The Premium level, which is the highest tier in the subscription service, boasts access to classical games from previous PlayStation consoles.

According to a recent report by The Verge, the most expensive tier of PS Plus in the US provides its users access to iconic gaming titles from classical consoles, such as the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP.

On top of that, the Premium option also offers access to the cloud streaming features of PlayStation Now.

The Verge noted in the same report that another gaming subscription service, Nintendo Switch Online, took a similar approach to its tier arrangement. The classical games under its Sega Genesis and N64 collection are only available on its most expensive option.

PS Plus Deluxe in Australia

On the other hand, the top-tier version in Australia is getting a downgraded counterpart of the PS Plus Premium, which debuts as the PS Plus Deluxe.

Tech Radar noted in its report that the downgrade ditched the availability of the cloud streaming function of PlayStation Now on PS Plus Deluxe.

Thus, unlike the Premium tier enjoyed by PS Plus subscribers in the US or the UK, folks in Australia are missing out on games due to the absence of PlayStation Now.

To be more precise, the whole library of PS3 games, as it requires cloud streaming, will be unavailable in PS Plus Deluxe.

Despite that, its subscribers could still enjoy PS2, PS1, and PSP gaming titles.
