'Call of Duty' Player Accidentally Reveals Cheating
As per a news story by PC Gamer, a player of the first-person shooter game, "Call of Duty: Vanguard" is facing accusations that he was cheating on his gameplay.
But instead of proving them wrong, he exposes his cheating ways while trying to show that he was not doing any tricks to put his opponents at a disadvantage.
The "Call of Duty" player and streamer that goes by the name Kenji was competing in an unofficial tournament of the first-shooter game.
The team of Kenji won the 2v2 match in the tournament, beating both iLuhvly and ImSasukee in the event that was hosted by CheckMate Gaming.
However, the opponents of Kenji disputed his win in the tournament's 2v2 match after the two players had some suspicion regarding the legitimacy of his gameplay.
'Call of Duty' Wallhack Revealed
According to a recent report by DotEsports, the college "Call of Duty" player in question had installed a monitor cam that shows his PC setup while he is playing in the tournament. He tried to prove his innocence using the clip from his stream.
However, instead of freeing Kenji from any suspicions, he unraveled the tricks that he has been using to perform impressive gameplay, which made it seem like his reflexes are extraordinary.
The cam monitor recorded indicators of the cheating software that Kenji was using, which exposed his tricks in action.
Checkmate Gaming reviewed the monitor cam video of Kenji, wherein it showed numerous floating rectangles during his gameplay in the 2v2 Search and Destroy match.
PC Gamer noted in its report that the floating boxes are seen on wallhacks, which shows the locations of your opponents even if they are hiding behind a wall. It basically allows its users to see beneath the walls in the game, preventing opponents from hiding.
One of the opponents of Kenji during the paid tournament, ImSasukee, shared a clip of the gameplay for the former, wherein floating rectangles were seen.
'Call of Duty' Cheater Banned
As such, the host of the tournament, Checkmate Gaming, has already banned Kenji from playing in its future events.
On top of that, the collegiate league where Kenji belongs, College CoD League, also banned the "Call of Duty" streamer from playing under its group permanently.
Aside from that, all of his teammates were also disqualified from the Checkmate Gaming tournament.
