Currently, SEC is still trying to require Tesla's CEO to be more discreet in posting stuff on Twitter. But, Musk is also rejecting the agency's requirements, saying that the Securities Exchange Commission is ignoring his First Amendment rights.

Now, Elon says that he is like the popular American rapper, Eminem during his ongoing conflict with the top U.S. securities regulator.

According to Reuters' latest report, Elon is trying to throw out his 2018 agreement with SEC since it requires him to obtain pre-approval before posting any tweet.

He added that this goes against his freedom of speech. If you are a fan of the billionaire, you will know how active he really is on Twitter.

In the latest Tuesday (Mar. 29) filing, he quoted Eminem's popular song titled "Without Me."

"The (SEC) won't let me be or let me be me so let me see; They tried to shut me down," said the billionaire.

His statement is the original lyrics of Eminem's song. However, the word FCC was replaced with SEC. This hints that Elon Musk will not really back down against the Securities Exchange Commission.

What's Happening Between Musk and SEC?

The New York Post reported that the latest request of the SEC covers Elon Musk's Twitter posts from April 30, 2019, until the latest ones.

His tweets are being investigated so that the securities agency will know if his account will be required to have pre-approval before posting anything on the platform.

But, this will be a hard one since the billionaire's lawyer, Alex Spiro of Quin Emanuel, said that they will not provide the needed documents regarding pre-approval and the files that will allow SEC to review CEO's tweets.
