As per a news story by SlashGear, Microsoft released a new custom version of its Xbox Series S just in time for the premiere of the "Sonic the Hedgehog 2."

The Sonic Xbox bundle sports a custom design for the gaming console, wherein the air vent of the Xbox Series X features a gold ring around its air vent, as well as both Sonic and Knuckles.

The custom bundle also comes with two Xbox Series S controllers that are covered with a fluffy fur design, which comes in two colors, red and blue based on the hues of Knuckles and Sonic.

However, the unique design of the Sonic Xbox controlled faced early criticism from fans of the massive gaming franchise, which now has its own offering on the big screen.

According to a recent report by SVG, the official Twitter account of Xbox showcased the new furry Sonic controllers, saying that "we might need glasses because these controllers look fuzzy."

The news outlet noted that a Twitter user that goes by the username Arial_Blade said that the furry design of the new Xbox Sonic controllers is going to end up sweating your hands. As such, it would "smell funky" in the long run.

Sonic Xbox Bundle: How to Get

Despite that, if you are still eyeing to get these custom design furry controllers, here's how to grab the "Sonic the Hedgehog 2" Xbox bundle.

It is worth noting that the new custom-designed Xbox console is not sold for retail. Instead, Slash Gear noted that like other similar versions of the gaming machine, Microsoft is giving the limited edition Sonic-themed device for free.

Meanwhile, as per a report by Comicbook.com, Sonic toys are coming to the fast-food giant McDonald's. However, the Happy Meal offering is only confirmed to be available in Indonesia after the Twitter accounts of McDonald's in the region announced it. The McDonald's toys include figures for Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails.
